Kyle Patrick O’Neill

May 08, 1986 – September 07, 2013

Kyle Patrick O’Neill came into this world on Thursday, May 8th, 1986. His beautiful face and soul made his parents gleam with joy. As he grew, so did the number of people who loved him. His personality, love, and care for others was sewn at a young age and continued to grow with each passing day. As a child he was almost always smiling never letting worries overshadow his dreams, knowing that he would make a difference in peoples lives. This task of being positive is one that not all children could do, especially considering his circumstances. At 7 months of age, Kyle was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis for which there is no cure yet. That was something that would change his life, but not his heart or his hope.

As Kyle grew his family watched him morph into the Kyle that everyone grew to love and felt the impact he left just by talking them, changing them for the better. Kyle attended Warren Central High School and was in the graduating class of 2004. His bonds of friendship lasted throughout and past high school with countless close friendships that have endured the strains of time and change. Throughout his life he would have to spend time in his self-proclaimed “2nd homes that consisted of Riley Children’s Hospital up until the age of 18 and then he moved to IU Hospital, both located in Indianapolis, Indiana. He made friends with his caregivers, Nurses and doctors alike and they all cared for him like family. Laughter and smiles were never short in supply when he was around. He would also use this time to hone his art skills and would amaze everyone around him with his works of art that were so beautiful, leaving flawless colors and lines and amazing images that people have always coveted. He would use his colored pencils to reflect himself pouring love through the colors to the paper and to the person who was lucky enough to receive it. From the time he could he worked with his Dad at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway hanging the flags around the track. Racing something he always want to do. Kyle played Guitar, like his Dad he was self taught, he also played drums.

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 he was called home to be with his mother and given his wings. Kyle was proceeded in death by his caring mother Sherry O’Neill, Aunt Tyrll Hoopingarner (O’Neill), Grandmother Rena O’Neill (Wright), Uncle Gary O’Neill ,Cousin Brendon Curren, survived by his loving father Daniel O’Neill, brother Joshua Meadows, Niece Chey Meadows, fiancée Sarah Rusin, Aunt Karen and Uncle Ray Young, Aunt Judy and Uncle Steve O’Neill, Cousins Brad, Brian, Brett, Rena, Kasandra, Kelly, Kim. Grandparents Bob and Mary Curren, Aunts and Uncles Scott and Mary Curren, Jack and Laura Pierson, Aunt Lisa Curren, Aunt Denise Sorensen, , Rick and Jill Neese, John and Cindy Neese, Bobby Joe and Lelia Neese and Cousins Tim Curren and Sean Curren.

Kyle will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of the life of Kyle O’Neill will take place on Saturday September 21, 2013 from 4 – 6 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel located at 82nd and Allisonville Road.
